BPA is the largest student organization in the country for students enrolled in CTE programs. Students can be in any cluster, however, the majority of students in CPS BPA Chapters are enrolled in either Accounting, Finance or Entrepreneurship programs. For the past month BPA students have been competing Regionally (in classrooms) to find the top 5 scorers in such business areas ranging from Fundamental, Advanced and Payroll Accounting, Financial Math and Banking & Finance to Spreadsheet Applications, Integrated Office Applications, Desktop Publishing and Database Applications.
For the Annual Citywide Competition at Robert Morris University on Friday February 19, 2010, current BPA members will be testing in the areas previously listed to determine whom in the city will move forward to the National Competition in Anaheim, CA May 5-9, 2010. Winners in each category will be announced at the BPA Annual Citywide Awards Luncheon on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk.
