CPS Seniors (Class of 2013)
WHAT?
The Office of Pathways to College and Career is partnering with high school guidance counselors, college and career coaches and specialists to deliver two days of college preparation workshops for CPS seniors. The Senior Summer College Preparation Program (SSCP) is designed to give you a head start with applying to college, or your postsecondary program of choice. You’ll benefit from information and direct support on key topics such as:
- Selecting a college
- Choosing a college major
- Utilizing campus student support services
- Applying for scholarships and federal student aid programs
- Using the net price calculator to determine college cost
- Career Pathways
- Student-athlete
- Utilizing What’s Next Illinois
There will also be a panel of college admissions representatives and current college students who will share their recommendations for success, and how to avoid the pitfalls of poor preparation as you start applying to your postsecondary programs of choice.
Lunch will be provided.
CTA fare cards will be available for eligible students at the workshop locations.
Please bring your CPS student ID card.
