The programs in the IT cluster prepare you for occupations in the fields of computer operations and programming, information technology/software applications and computer repair/installation.

With a College Degree:

With a Professional Certification/Degree:

- Help Desk/Computer Support: $34,010 – $63,690
- Network Administrator: $51,020 – $90,880

With a High School Diploma:

- Help Desk Specialist: $28,000 – $34,000
- Network Analyst: $38,000 – $42,000

Business System Networking

As a student in the Business Systems Networking Program you will learn how to build design and support computer networks. As part of your courses, you will be taught to design, install, configure and monitor computer networks and internet access. You will also get to use what you have learned in class to practice skills you will need for employment or advanced education such as manage user accounts and access, troubleshoot and secure live networks.

Cisco Networking

Learn to design and maintain networks and security systems.

Computer Programming

As a student in Computer Programming you will learn to use programming languages (Visual Basic, Java, HTML, C++) and elements of web site design to create computer applications that can solve problems. Studying Computer Programming will also include lesson on and practice with the fundamentals of system analysis and design as well as the systems development life cycle.

Game Programming

Learn the essentials of game design and development.

IT Applications

As a student in Information Technology Applications you will study the fundamentals of design, development and management necessary to support computer hardware and software. You will also learn various electronic business applications of Microsoft Office Suite and other advanced multimedia software. After you learn the basic fundamentals of the program you will have the opportunity to perfect those skills through practice by installing applications, designing web pages and creating information databases in your CTE computer lab.

Network Cabling

Build, test, and troubleshoot cabling systems that are the basis of today's networking, cable television, home entertainment and satellite communications systems.

Oracle / Database Programming

Design and develop databases in SQL and PL/SQL.

Web Design

Gain the skills to design and develop websites.

How to Participate

College and Career Academy Application

8th Graders who want to participate in a College and Career Academy, should apply by December 14, 2012.

Freshmen who are attending a school with a College and Career Academy or CTE School Option program who wish to participate should speak with their counselor.
