The Chicago Public Schools - Office of Pathways to College and Careers has partnered with The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and Parchment to provide the College Illinois Transcript Exchange, a system powered by Docufide by Parchment, which will enable CPS high school students to request their official transcript online for electronic delivery to thousands of colleges and other destinations.
This service will enable our students to request their transcripts electronically in preparation for their college attendance through What’s Next Illinois - www.whatsnextillinois.org/ student portal where students complete their college and scholarship applications.
The service is free of charge to all CPS schools. The service is free to students as well when sending transcripts to participating Monetary Award Program (MAP) approved Illinois colleges (http://www.collegezone.com/media/1112MAPSchoolList.pdf) and to participating colleges in the Midwest Higher Education Compact (MHEC) states (http://www.mhec.org/memberstates). All participating colleges appear in the E-transcript solution. Transcript exchange outside of this network is left up to the discretion of the school. There is a $2.55 fee to the student for electronic destinations outside of MHEC or MAP Colleges and additional student charges for destinations that require Docufide delivery of a paper transcript. Apart from Docufide schools may continue to opt for a paper transcript solution at their own expense.
In order to register your high school to participate in the College Illinois Transcript Exchange, visit the online registration page located at https://securetranscript.docufide.com/districtreg/CPS1. Search for your High School in the list of schools. Complete the information and, when prompted, electronically sign the User Services Agreement for your school. Once you have completed the registration process, a confirmation screen will appear that will provide you with the next steps.
In addition to scheduled district training sessions for all high schools, informational webinars about the College Illinois Transcript Exchange will be offered regularly. Staff can find scheduled sessions online, including instructions on how to register for the webinar. After a staff person has registered, an e-mail message with the call-in phone number, instructions for accessing the webinar and a link to the PowerPoint presentation will be sent.
If you have any questions about any of the information required to complete the registration or attend the webinar, please complete a Contact Us form (select "Account Setup" as the subject).
